“Good Cheer Wine and Beer Tour: Simply Awesome!” Trip Advisor, Reviewed 9 July 2015

My husband and I have been on many wine tours in Ontario, but I can honestly say this was the most enjoyable one for both of us. From the beginning it was clear that Laila was not just going to inform us about the industry, but that her personal style was going to be entertaining as well. But it wasn’t just Laila’s sense of humour, it was also the wineries and microbrewery chosen to visit. While each offered the opportunity to taste some excellent and diverse wines and brews, each had a different character and backstory that was amazing to learn about. We particularly enjoyed the family histories shared, the tour in the vineyard, and the opportuinity to learn about and then see the relocation and refurbishement of a beautiful old church to a winery. The final stop was the microbrewery which had such an interesting history and included a flavourful small prouction of alcoholic apple cider. The owner gave us a detailed explanation of how he makes his collection of beer and how he invested in a brew master for a unique recipe. He gave us a tour of his farm that included growing hops, lavender and other gardens. It was a great way to end the tour. Lunch was an opportunity to try more local beer and wine with an excellent choice of food and converse with other guests. The van was clean and comfortable, the time flew by with Laila’s enjoyable and often funny narration. I’ve been on some tours where guests can stay quiet and often seem detached from one another, but Laila encouraged everyone to share and get involved. I would definitely recommmend this company and this particular tour, a 10 out of 10!
