February 9th, 15th and 16th

Discover the magic of Icewine and why we call it liquid gold! First, we visit Fox Hill Cheese House and taste an array of cheeses and gelato.

Next, we’ll take you for an exclusive visit to Planter’s Ridge Winery (opening Spring 2014) and take you through the vineyard and talk about the production of Icewine with the winemaker and then tour the winery for a special “sneak-peek” and hear about the Planter’s Ridge philosophy on wines.

Then it’s onto the main event of the Icewine Festival at Domaine de Grand Pre. Enjoy six special “Savoury” (9th) and “Sweet” (15th & 16th) food and wine pairings provided by the local wineries as well as time to meet the winemakers, make a grapevine wreath or just cozy up to the bonfire.

Tour departs from The Marriott Harbourfront in Halifax at 1000am and returns at 500pm.
